yet another wedding of the year...

Well I couldn't not write anything about it, could I? The third wedding of the year has officially taken place. Twilight Breaking Dawn is now in cinemas and raking in the viewers, including me. Having read all the books, I couldn't wait to see how they'd done the wedding and of course what the dress was like.

The setting for the wedding of hanging flowers in what can only be described as a fairytale woodland. It really is beautiful and sets the scene for the story so well. But I've got to admit although I think the dress is beautiful it just isn't what I'd pictured but it's gorgeous anyway. On another note the Manolo's are to die as is the hair with the small plaits. The dress itself is made of silk crepe and French chantilly lace and is worth $35,000. Oh and you'll be able to buy it from her collection SS 2012. It's got 152 buttons down the back and 17 on each sleeve so whoever buys it will need some help getting into it.

For me the location/set dressing and costumes made the wedding scene. What did you guys think?

sherwood...

These are the photos I took when I went to Sherwood Forest a few weeks ago, majorly hectic time at the minute two weeks left then the Christmas Hols. Took these photographs before autumn really hit so everything was still pretty green.

I've got to admit it's a really beautiful place, and even though we went at the start of half term it felt very serene and peaceful. Always nice to wander around, although it's so big you've got to follow the arrows.

costume heaven...

Snow White and the Huntsman(2012)
Mirror, Mirror (2012)

It's not even Christmas yet and I'm already looking forward to next year. When I found out there were going to be two interpretations of the classic Snow White I was a bit puzzled, I know films get re-made but two re-makes in one year seems a tad ridiculous. But they look so different, Snow White and the Hutsman (starring Kristen Stewart & Charlize Theron) looks dark and gothic while Mirror, Mirror (starring Lily Collins & Julia Roberts) is more rom-com. I'll definitely be watching both for the story and the costume- Kristen Stewarts and Julia Roberts both look amazing.

go forth...

It's every person's legacy to make the world more to their liking. Now is our time. Go Forth!

In love with this Levi's advert/campaign from July this year.
Loving the way ads are changing to be more about the consumer and less about the product.

Spot the Supermodel...

Music video for Duran Duran's new song Girl Panic!

The Supers reunited once again (well almost). Styled by Dolce & Gabbana (who make a cameo appearance) and shot at London's Savoy Hotel. They also appeared on Harper's Bazaar's December cover and inside... now all I need is to get home so I can actually read it!
