Agent Provocateur Boudoir

For uni I've just had to write a market report which I did on expanding
Agent Provocateur into interiors. My 2,000 words and 3 moodboard are finally finished...
just as well seeing as its due in tomorrow! Anyway this was one of my moodboards
which is for suggested advertising for the range, I wanted to make the focus about the
furnitureand the lingerie. It's been really interesting to find out all about the brand but
now I get a well deserved two weeks off while they mark it and my portfolio!

new style crush...

How can anyone not be envious of Elle Fanning, she's dressed by Valentino,
attends glamourous premieres and she's not even thirteen. Oh and she seems
like a genuinely nice person... grrr. Anyway I love her style, it's always age
appropriate and super cute but never boring.

LOVE + Justin Bieber = ???

When I think of LOVE magazine the words that spring to mind are provocative,
fashion forward and daring. Now I wouldn't associate any of these with hair-flicking,
catchy tune singing Justin Bieber. But next month he is the cover star. It's for the
androgyny issue and he's shot by Terry Richardson. To be honest I think the cover just
looks like an American celeb magazine, OK USA or Seventeen. Something Bieber's
fans would usually read. So are they trying to attract a wider audience or is he
just the new face of fashion?

finally the explanation for HBC's golden globes look...

At last! Now Helena Bohnam Carter's dress sense is never boring. But shoes that
don't match? The Vivienne Westwood dress was 'out there' enough never mind the fact
that the shoes seem to have been added as an afterthought and one half of each pair appeared to have been lost in transit!

Maybe she'd seen Bally's S/S 2011 campaign where, and maybe it's just because
its a photoshoot and not real life the mismatched shoes give the picture and
edge. Anyway HBC that's how it should be done, with simple clothes and hair
-better luck next time.

backless...

Anne Hathaway in Armani Prive

Claire Danes in Calvin Klein

Eva Longoria in Zac Posen

So my favourite trend was the backless one, completely covered and then turn around
and VAVOOM! Great for the over the shoulder photo. Very reminiscent of HIlary Swank at the
2005 Oscars. It's a great look for red carpet magic. Eva's is a tad gloomy all black at a
glamourous party, in my book that's a no no. While Anne Hathaway's dress was a tad
overcomplicated for my taste, I think if your gonna make a big statement like backless the
dress should be simple. The one I think worked the best is Claire Danes, simple dress in a gorgeous coral.

Roll on the BAFTA's!

emeralds are green...

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace & Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhullier

Elisabeth Moss in Donna Karen & Mila Kunis in Vera Wang

Another theme was emerald green. I'm loving Angelina Jolie's dress even though she's
worn the still a million times before at least this time she's experimenting with
shock horror COLOUR! Mila Kunis in Vera Wang is was my favourite in this
bunch of dresses. I love the draping, one shoulder detail and the train.

peach, cream and pinks...

Lea Michele in Oscar De La Renta & Claire Danes in Calvin Klein

Megan Fox in Armani Prive & Natalie Portman in Viktor & Rolf

Dianna Agron in J.Mendel & Emma Stone in Calvin Klein

The Golden Globes means one thing.... RED CARPET! I love all the dresses, I mean an
evening when everyone get's all glammed up what could be better. There were a few
themes for dresses and peachy, pinky, creams were one.

These were my favourites especially Claire Danes in a backless Calvin Klein, Dianna Agron
in an understated Old Hollywood style J.Mendel and Lea Michele in who else, Oscar. It's
pink, has a train and is flattering... gorgeous.

alan carr interiors?

I have to admit I adore Alan Carr, he is Ab Fab personified! But there isn't just the
comedy to see, the interior design, if i can call it that? So I was thrilled this
week when I spotted the stamp rug which is brilliant. It's quirky and yet so patriotic
in a different way, rather than the typical union jack which has been way overused.

But there's so much more than just the rug- theres the globe drinks holder, the stags
head and also the brilliant paper bag light. It's eclectic in the best possible way
and I wish I had all those kooky things in my house.

satchel squared...

(Above Topshop Tan Buckle Detail Satchel £36; Below ASOS Leather Traditional Satchel £60)

First day back at uni since the Christmas Hols and NYC so everyones got something
new, well two of my friends came in with exactly the same new bag. Now I've got
to be honest my first thought was "Topshop" as this seems to be the staple
for everyone my age, and I was right. Personally I avoid this shop as I can pretty
much be guaranteed that no matter what I buy from there someone else at uni
will be wearing it too. I think this makes your look lose it's individuality and
it's not like you can dress up a bag in different ways, plus it's something your going
to use everyday so why not try and find something no one else will hopefully own?

This is one of the reasons I love websites like asos, there are so many items that it's
pretty unlikely someone else will own the exact same thing. Plus as much as it's
popular still not everyone uses it-not as religiously as I do anyway! So look further
afield for your staples in the future and then hopefully you'll get asked where it's from,
unless it's a Mulberry bag. Then I encourage you to buy one and where it proudly
-along with everyone else who's lucky enough to own one.

owl city...

I feel like I can't escape them every shop I go into there they are, staring at me.
Owls have definitely been a big trend and these are just some of the ones I found on
the internet. For me I am loving them as rings, my new obsession after my New York
purchases, and studs. Quite a lot of them look really similar so the ones that
are slightly different are way more interesting as far as I'm concerned.

bored in the car...

While I was waiting for mum to finish shopping in Morrisons I experimented with
taking pictures in the flip down mirror. This involved lots of playing around to
figure out how to stop the flash from going off. These are the ones that worked the best...

westwood walk 15/01/2011...

when I went to New York last year I visited Mood (the fabric shop from Project Runway)
and was asked who designed my coat, a very exciting moment considering it's from Next!
I bought it needless to say before I they're ad campaign came out which they had included it
in. The hat is New Look, jeans Uniqlo and Wellies ASDA. The hat below is from
the Migros in Switzerland.

                                                         Trousers Uniqlo, Wellies Primark

One of the best things about home is the Westwood- a huge expanse of grass trees
and woods where you can find dog walkers, golfers and runners. I used my mums SLR Nikon camera, which has made me even more determined to buy one myself. These are my favourite pictures from the walk...
